Lausanne Movement Conversation Gathering

Washington, D.C.

In preparation for the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelism, the Lausanne Movement is partnering with like minded organizations to host a series of conversations throughout the world that will ensure that the issues presented at the congress are part of a genuine global discussion. The NAE co-sponsored the Washington, D.C., gathering, which focused on evangelicals in the public square and caring for vulnerable and exploited children.

The Lausanne Movement began in 1974 in the Swiss Alps where thousands of believers in Christ gathered to develop and affirm a global mission for evangelism. The third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelism will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, in October 2010.
