As a representative for the Mennonite Brethren in the USA, I am so pleased to be an endorser of NAE’s document - For the Health of the Nation: An Evangelical Call to Civic Responsibility. It so clearly advocates in many ways the traditions that Mennonites seek to espouse – referring to the peace, justice and compassion for the poor and vulnerable, and the protection of human rights. This document put forth by NAE is a critical work – one that I believe will unite all evangelical denominations in making an impact on our entire nation. I see it as a ‘plum-line’ for all evangelicals giving us, as the ‘church’, direction as well as goals for fulfilling our responsibilities.
